The Mike Risko Music School really enjoys being a part of the Westchester community. We do as much as we can to work with local groups on many different levels. If a group is looking for music instruction or live music, we welcome the opportunity to help.
We have worked with the Girl Scouts to earn badges, The Fieldston School in Riverdale for their ALP program and we have we have worked with many assisted living facilities in the area to provide music education and entertainment. We have worked with the Ossining Chamber of Commerce to help plan the Ossining Village Fair and helped coordinate the entertainment in 2004 and in 2008 by providing students and professional bands to play on the main stage.
The Mike Risko Music School will bring musical instruments into classrooms for kid's to try and will also perform for school events.
We assist our students in preparation for the NYSSMA auditions and we coach many students who are auditioning for school musicals.
We are always open to working with people in our community on special projects and programs. If you have a group or an organization that needs some musical assistance, please contact us.
