A class based on the popular show American Idol, vocal students will have the opportunity each week to perform a different style of music and receive constructive advice from the panel. Each week students are given song choices for the next week's class. At the class they will perform with an accompanist or recording. Student vocal technique will be assessed but the class is about strengthening performance techniques.
Some other topics that will be covered are song interpretation, live performance techniques, conquering stage fright and more.
Voice lessons are recommended but not a requirement. This class meets in 4 week blocks, There is a performance each week. All levels and ages are welcome to sign up.
