Welcome to the Mike Risko Music School located at 103 Croton Avenue in Ossining New York. We are a unique and innovative performance oriented music school offering instruction on all instruments and voice in a wide range of musical styles including classical, jazz and rock. Founded in 1995, we have continued to grow as a part of the community giving thousands of people the opportunity to play an instrument. Here you will find an introduction to our school, our programs and our history. In addition to private music instruction, the school also offers classes, workshops and frequent recitals which focus on developing musicianship and performance skills. These unique opportunities offer hands on experience. Students learn to play instruments as they gain other valuable skills that help them become well rounded musicians.
The music school is staffed with over 30 talented and educated musicians who are dedicated to teaching music. They bring knowledge and experience to their lessons. All Mike Risko Music School teachers follow guidelines and curriculums to ensure that the student receives the essential elements they need to become musicians in whatever style they choose. In addition, there is always a member of our friendly office staff available to handle scheduling and answer questions.
The school is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors at 103 Croton Avenue. Ample parking is available behind the school and on the street. Parents and students can wait in our comfortable waiting rooms or shop in the many stores within walking distance.
Private lessons are available throughout the year and are customized to the student's personal schedule, needs and abilities. The school is open for lessons Monday through Thursday from 2-9 and Saturday from 9-4.
